What is the best way to cook a steak?

When it comes to nailing a good steak, there are a few tips and tricks to keep in mind.

The first thing to remember is you never, and I mean NEVER want to cook a cold steak, cold steak can lead to uneven cooks which equals a not-so-tender steak.

The other tip to keep in mind is the crust, there’s nothing better than a crispy crust on a steak – cook your steak on both sides for 2 minutes to form that golden brown deliciousness.

You also want to ensure you baste your steak, whether you’re a fan of rare steak or you want your steak dinner well-done, you want to continually baste your steak throughout the cooking process.

Other than that, it’s all just trial and error! Keep these tips in mind and prepare to get steakin’.

What else can I do with steak?

There is so much to do with steak that isn’t just the stock-standard meat and three veg! Of course, there’s little better than a juicy steak, smothered in sauce and with a side of veg BUT it’s definitely not the only thing you can do!

Steak is super versatile, and can be used in so many ways! Add it to your stir-fry for a hit of tender beef, or load it up on top of a salad to get your protein hit. You can even use it to top your soup dishes if you’re feeling extra fancy.
